Here is the feedback from my billboard 

The photo I have chosen was specific taken outdoors to emphasise on the theme of Winter. A typical fashion magazine such as Vogue is likely to have a studio based image however as my magazine is regional and based on the Midlands I wanted to create more of an urban feel to my photo so that it fitted with my target audience. I wanted the contrast of a gritty background against my made up model.

First photo shoot done

My first set of photos are complete and I've chosen a specific image to use as my billboard background. I want this image to be a recognisable image for my brand therefore I want to use it on the cover of my magazine as well with some added editing. 

Article draft

My article draft, based on make up looks, is coming along nicely and will correspond well with the photos I plan to take this weekend. 

Make up looks

I've organised the makeup up I will use for the shoot with the knowledge I gained from the makeup stalls at the clothes show.

Photo shoot outfits (monochrome)

Having spoken to sources from a boutique called Glad Rags in Coventry town centre (which is the regional location of my magazine), monochrome (black and white) appears to be a common theme for this winter. 

I have chosen some items that would fit the theme perfectly.

Tomorrow looks like a perfect opportunity for wintery shots due to the possibility of snow.

Clothes Show Live!

Here are some of the photographs I took at the Clothes Show Live in Birmingham.  The fashion shows were just a small part of the overall event and the exhibition hall at the NEC was full of independent stores based in the Midlands region along with chain brands and niche brands.
The stalls were not just fashion orientated, they also sold make up. I managed to gather information on the latest make up looks for my article

 

 There were smaller fashion shows which showcased some of the latest trends from more independent stores in the Midlands. This helped me gain content for my article.
